About Yashish Manohar

I began my journey through leisurely competing in online racing video games as a child. Having developed a strong passion for racing over the years, I begun racing competitively  at the age of 12- competing nationally in go-karting, without any prior training or history. I quickly achieved success, finishing as Vice-Champion in the UAE in my rookie season, and qualifying to compete in the karting world finals.

When the pandemic hit, I turned back to sim-racing- where I initially started. I was able to showcase my talent against real-life racing drivers thanks to my prior experience. Sim-racing proved to be a life-change opportunity for me, winning all major UAE LAN competitions since 2019, acclaiming the feat of UAE Sim-Racing Champion.

Following success in both real life and sim-racing, I signed to the YAS Heat Academy backed by Veloce, ADMM, and Yas Marina Circuit. Together with the team, they had helped me train mentally and physically and particularly on professional esports which helped improve my racing prowess. I later on signed to the YAS Heat Pro Team at age 17.

In 2022, I embarked on my mission to become the first Indian / UAE sim-racer to transition to real life racing. This journey mainly consisted of searching for sponsors, training physically, and learning as much as I could to be ready to race in real life.

After 2 years of consistent work, I made my professional racing debut in the inaugural Clio Cup Middle East Championship. Taking victory and podiums on debut, and eventually finishing 2nd in the championship. In 2023, I also took part in the 'ERA Championship's Scholarship' winning a $150,000 F4 scholarship to compete in the first electric junior single seater championship, beating an F3 champion in the process. 

Looking toward the future, I hope to continue to inspire the next generation of young racing drivers, showing them that motorsport can be accessible to everyone. I also look to eventually secure a full-time drive in Motorsport, competing in different series across the world.
